Made590 first opened it’s doors to the public back in October 2004, in a beautiful little corner store Christina fell instantly in love with and just couldn’t say no to! At the time there were no solid plans for a shopfront, but when a perfect little retail space calls, sometimes you just have to take that giant leap and go for it. And, it’s a very good thing she did, as made590 has quickly become a little icon of Australian made fashion.
The made590 range has grown in leaps and bounds, and is now offering more styles and prints than ever before. Made590 is known today for it’s perfectly fitting dresses, practical basics and it’s bold fabric designs which are often made in collaboration with local artists or designed right here, in house.
We also offer a huge range of both digitally printed and hand screen printed mens tees featuring our designs, which are also the first product Christina started her brand with almost 20 years ago. We stock an extensive range of beautiful designer gifts for all occasions, as well as great seasonal accessories made from our clothing production fabric scraps.
Our brand new Every Body range launched August 2018 and is one of the first of it’s kind, offering a full range of our most popular styles in sizes 6-26. Inclusivity, body positivity and practical, fun fashion have and always will be key design points for made590.
Our shop is still located in that same beautiful little Newtown corner store, in the heart of the inner west. We also strive to make our website as user friendly as possible, going to great lengths to explain each style, it’s fit in the range and the possibilities of how it can be worn, so our online customers get the full made590 experience when unable to visit our store in person. We also take pride in our extensive range of models on the site (most of the ladies featured are made590 staff and customers!), as we try to represent a wide cross section of body shapes, ages, sizes, skin tones and also heights so you can see what our clothing looks like on real people, as well as being able to see how wonderful the fit is on everyone!
