Helen Coat arrives just in time for Winter next week

Our Helen coats have arrived, the only coat we design for winter, so we make sure to add in all the details of a perfect coat so you only have to make one investment for the season without having to tick off your shopping criteria with several different styles. We’re firm believers that garments are held onto for years to come when thought and care goes into fit, design and fabric selection. And we’ve included some of our favourite details all in this one shape.
The Helen coat is made with quality cashmere wool, with cotton, pattern lining on the inside. We’re all about the detail here at Made590 and this little jacket looks great when it is worn open as you have the contrast of the colour of the wool and the lining as seen in the pictures below. We also take care to choose matching buttons that go back with the wool and lining.
We’ve also made sure to design this coat with added length so that it can be worn with any outfit co-ordination you have in your wardrobe. Helen is long enough to be worn with pants, dresses, skirts and jeans. And she’s definitely not one of those coats that add extra bulk to the body with your Winter layering. She comes in at the waist, which means you can even wear it dressier for work or for more formal occasions as it creates a lovely silhouette without it looking too casual or loose fitting like traditional winter parkers or coats. We make sure to keep you warm AND looking good in Winter!
With two working front pockets and hood with printed, fabric lining she’s also the perfect piece to wear for cold, early morning drop offs at school or to wear on the sports field in Winter. She’d look great with our cosy, Clementine cardi underneath for extra warmth teamed back with any one of our dresses or skirts.
Available online and instore now in Black and Berry with sizes S-XL.

Friends of made: Frock Me Out

Next up in our Friends of Made blog series is Frock Me Out. This Adelaide based brand has become a very popular one here in the made590 family with a loyal customer base always asking after their latest collections. Frock Me Out is known for it’s flattering pocket dress – it’s the magic dress designed for all body shapes and sizes – we’ve yet to have someone try this dress shape on and it not look good. In its structured, yet very wearable cut, this shape is perfect for days at the office, for more formal occasions like weddings and great paired back with some casual shoes for weekends out and about. The FMO girls keep it fun, as they also share our love for print and colour, with pieces this season including an origami crane print, a soaring ‘flying high’ bird print, a backgammon print and a colourful, red fiesta print.
Select Frock Me Out pieces are online now, with different styles available in store including the Jumper Dress – Backgammon, Bomber Jacket – backgammon and Pocket Dress 3/4 Sleeve – Backgammon.

Leather Belts, all the way from Greece – instore + online now!

Hooray, our belts have arrived, and they’re available to purchase instore and online now.
These belts have travelled the distance as they come all the way from Greece. We work with a small family owned business, who specifically makes these belts for made590 in some of our favourite colours. We intentionally designed them in both neutrals and metallics so they’d be easy to match back with an array of print and colour palettes we produce year round.
We’ve also made sure to design these in the perfect thickness – not too thin, not too thick – so you can wear them either on your hip with pants and jeans or high waisted with skirts and high waisted style pants.
Because of the raw leather lining on the inside, you can even wear these belts if your garment doesn’t actually have belt loop holes as it catches onto fabric well and stays in place.
Perfect to add colour to your already rainbow outfit, but also a great way to sneak in some brightness to a monochromatic outfit.
Made from high quality leather from the Islands of Crete, you’ll have these belts for years to come, without having to worry about peeling like inferior belts.
These are selling fast so head instore or online now to grab yourself an easy accessory, perfect for all outfits.
Limited sizes available!

Friends of made: Miranda Murphy

Miranda Murphy is a brand that we’ve stocked for quite a while at Made590 and she’s a classic that our customers always come back to. She’s known for her simple, yet striking prints which she designs herself in silhouettes that drape the body effortlessly.
This season we have her sought after box tee blouses in three different prints – the autumn garland, finch and wattle.
These pieces are so light weight and perfect for tran-seasonal wear as you can wear a long sleeve underneath, a cardi and coats over the top without it looking too bulky – making this cotton popplin top perfect for winter layers, but one you’ll be able to whip out in the summer too and wear with shorts and skirts. The lightweight fabric makes it a perfect travelling companion, too folding up into a super compact size.
The box tee blouses are also perfect worn with pants and jeans as they are a good length sitting below the hip – not too short and not too long – you can wear them tucked out and not have it ride up your back, but long enough to be able to tuck into pants and skirts too.
In a broad size range: XS- XXL.
They’re available instore and online now.

Friends of made: Surface Art

This is a bit of a series we’ll be carrying out on the blog for the next few posts where we’ll feature some of the lady owned businesses that we feature and stock in the shop here at Made590.
Regular customers of Made590 will be very well acquainted with the Australian brand, Surface Art.
Moyra, the designer behind the brand is known for her classic  silhouettes, prints and colour. Her newest range is in store now and features wool skirts, corduroy, cotton, digital prints and comfy elasticated waists.
Surface Art pieces are a great investment as they are perfect for work, for dressier occasions and for weekend wear as well. Known for her classic A-line shaped skirts, her beautifully made shift dresses and easy to wear prints – there is something for everyone in Surface Arts’ latest Autumn/Winter collection.
To get to know more about Moyra herself, have a read of her bio below and take a look at the latest collection.
Her pieces are available exclusively in-store, so pop in to take a look!

Layers galore because it's our favourite season of the year!

The cold snap is here, and the layers are coming out – our every day basics are the perfect companion to team back with your favourie print skirt, great worn under our new pinafores, layered under your favourite Made 590 dresses, with your favourite pair of jeans or denim skirt.

Our popular Sybil scoop basics are available both in-store and online now in a variation of stripe and plain colors. Sybil is a popular one here at Made590 as she has the versatility of being able to wear two ways – either with the higher neck line to the front or the lower, boat neckline to the front – all you have to do is flip her around and, ta-da you have two different tops in one!

We have a colour for everyone ranging from work appropriate to casual weekend wear.

Available in sizes XS-XL, instore + online now.

And introducing our newest top for the season – the Rizzo long sleeve – the ultimate basic for the winter wardrobe. She’s based off our popular Rizzo summer top and dress, with the same slash neckline, but full length sleeve. The higher, slash neckline is perfect for wintery days as it keeps you warm and is the perfect detail for wearing underneath a cardigan, or cape. Available in plains or stripe.

Instore or online now in XS-XL.

Chelsea Cape for chilly days!

It’s about to get pretty chilly around these parts, but we’ve got you covered – pun intended!

Our Chelsea capes are the perfect companion for those cooler days as she’s made from quality New Zealand cashmere wool – making this a fabric that not only feels great on the skin to wear, but also keeps you warm and snuggly.

And we have to say, the design is not only practical – but pretty darn cute, too! With scalloped edging and pattered fabric lining in the hood of the cape and front, fold-back lapels – she’s not short of detail. When it comes to practicality, she’s definitely a ‘wearable’ cape – not like some where you feel restricted (robot arms be gone) – and definitely doesn’t add any bulk to your outfit with the clever tie around waist belt holding together all your winter layers, whilst still giving you all the room you need to flail your arms around with its free falling back.

And Chelsea is the perfect length, making her perfect to wear with skirts, dresses, jeans and pants.

We love Chelsea and she really is one of our favourite pieces to make during Winter.

This season we’ve included a colour to suit everyone – for the pastel lovers (musk), work wear appropriate (charcoal), every day wear (grey) and classic/timeless (red).

She is a one size catering to a broad shape range from size 6-20.
Available instore + online now.
