Our popular pinnies are back! We loved introducing this new design to you all last year for the first time, so we decided to bring it back for Summer.
In 6 different fabrics to suit your own personal aesthetic and lifestyle needs.
1) The Black barkcloth fabric:
A perfect and versatile colour staple to have in your wardrobe. The pinafore design itself is also an added bonus as it an amalgamation of both a dress and skirt. If you’re looking to venture out of the designs you usually wear, but aren’t brave enough to tackle pattern or colour – this is the perfect entry level piece for you, as a new shape can really jig things up and get you out of your comfort zone. A great option if you work in a more conservative workplace – with a strict-ish dress code – but want to add a bit more ‘you’ to your daily outfits. If you’d slowly like to become a little more adventurous, you can experiment by adding a pop of colour to this outfit with your layered piece underneath – both short sleeve and long sleeves look great teamed back with this pinnie; taking you from Summer to Winter. If you like to keep your outfits more streamlined, it looks great teamed back with our Rizzo top below – a perfect slash neckline with capped sleeves for coverage, and an easy stripe print to incorporate into your wardrobe. To make this a dressier, more night-time look, you can add one of our custom made belts, handmade in Greece, like this gold one here.
2) The Dandelion print:
This is a lovely cotton linen blend print. Even though it’s a beautiful, bright sunshine yellow colour, the navy base makes this another versatile piece you can wear for both work and for play. As you can see below, Chris has worn it here more like a dress, without a layer underneath. A nice option for the warmer days; you could easily make this a perfect smart casual piece for dressier occasions by teaming it with your best wedge or heel, some statement earrings and a belt. The heavier weight fabric of this print compliments this idea, as it sits more structured too, taking you from summer casual dress to more dressy occasions.
3) The Sketchy Stripe print:
This stripe print is a bit of fun, still in warmer tones, so we think you can wear this one for both work and play, too. We played with stripes here and took the horizontal pattern of the pinnie to inspire and direct our layer choice underneath and have worn this back with our Ripley Reversible Top navy stripe. Wear with sneakers or sandals and you have yourself a pattern fulled casual outfit ready for the weekend. We love how you can really see the pocket details of the pinnie in this choice of fabric.4) The Mod Spot print:
A fun larger scale, geometric print on a grey base teamed back with our spotted shirley shirt with scalloped sleeves. We’re all about the finer details here at Made590 when it comes to styling outfit pieces. Like above, we’ve gone ahead and worked with the pattern on the dress, and teamed our under layer to suit the dress – spot on spot! A great ensemble for work as the collar of the Shirley adds an extra detail of formal flair. The darker tones have you ready and running into the the cooler, autumnal weather. And how cute is the yellow button detail – just our way of adding a bit of quirky to every design. Wear with colourful sandals like Kell has here, sneakers or even your best metallic dress sandal.5) The Confetti Animals print:
Ok, so this is my favourite print of all and it may well be because its our very own print created by, Kirbee Lawler, our in-house graphic designer and illustrator you’ve all come to know and love over the years. This has been printed on a gorgeous stretch sateen fabric making it super comfy to wear as it allows for a little more give throughout. We’ve included splashes of colour throughout with our animal friends’ the wombat, koala and cockatoo featured on a lush teal-blue base colour-way. We wanted to pull the colour out from the animals so we’ve teamed it back with a red/white stripe rizzo top, not only complimenting the blue tones of the base colour, but highlighting all the lovely colours of our confetti friends too. The sateen fabric gives this pinnie a dressier finish with its slight sheen. To make it even more fancy, you can pair it back with one of our metallic belts and turn this into a fun night out, outfit! Play with different kinds of prints like we have here combining the confetti animals, with the stripe and some leopard print sandals and we bet you’ll stand out from the crowd with compliments all round’!
6) The Yuki Spot print:
How fun is this print?! Clusters of spots in fun pastel colours on a pastel blue base. We’ve teamed it back with a navy block colour rizzo top – a tonal outfit with lovely blue highlights. If you’re really into bright, fun colours and pattern clashing – you can easily pair this back with a bright layer underneath or on top making this a fun celebratory print. This will sure to bring a smile to your day!
